This 273-acre area offers a rare opportunity to develop, operate, and maintain a regional park on the Mississippi River from the initial stages of management to complete development.
With a constantly improving library of information on sustainable design, this park should prove to be an example of environmentally conscious park management. Proposed development of the park includes a Center for Sustainable Landscape, which would provide an educational and interpretive center to illustrate sustainable design and best management practices.
This park is largely undeveloped, but in the spring of 2012, a small Mississippi River boat launch will be opened. This is a paved boat launch with eight trailer stalls, and six trailer stalls.
