Environmental Education
We look forward to working with you
to develop exciting, relevant environmental education programs
for you and your students/group. Our naturalists are highly
trained and experienced in working with groups of all ages
and abilities. They are dedicated to helping others learn
about, experience, and enjoy our natural environment.

Students have access to the lake, woods, marsh, and prairie
ecosystems. Group size is kept small with a 10/15:1 student
to naturalist ratio.
If it is difficult for your class to
come to the nature center, we would love to bring our programs
to you (at a small additional cost). Simply phone the nature
center at 651-429-8007 to coordinate a convenient location
and time.
We encourage you to explore the Partnership
Program in which students experience the outdoors in the
fall, winter, and spring at a discounted rate. If you are
interested in a residential overnight experience, Wargo
Nature Center has partnered with Audubon Center of the North
Woods in Sandstone, Minnesota.
Pricing information (updated September 17, 2007):
Individual Programs
$5.00 per student for a full day program
$3.00 per student for a one to two hour program
Partnership Programs
$8.00 per student for the year (one 2-hour program per
fall/winter/spring season)
Full Day Programs
Full day programming (4 hours) provides students the
opportunity to spend more time exploring and learning about
our environment. They will begin to develop a greater
understanding of their relationships to our environment
and a better understanding of how it works. Naturalists
and teachers work together to develop a program to meet
your specific interest and needs.
