Bunker Hills Regional Park is situated at the city borders of Ham Lake, Andover, Coon Rapids, and Blaine.  Entrances to the park are located two miles west of Highway 65 on both Bunker Lake Boulevard (the north entrance) and CSAH 14 (Main Street) (the south entrance).

All motorized vehicles are required to purchase a vehicle entry permit to the regional parks.  Annual permits are available for $25, good for one year from date of purchase.  Daily permits are available for $5 per day.  The annual permit is honored at all Anoka County Regional Parks as well as regional parks in Washington and Carver counties.

The 1,600 acre Bunker Hills Regional Park is where the Anoka County Parks and Recreation Department is headquartered.  The park offers a wide spectrum of recreation opportunities including swimming and water slides at the Bunker Beach Water Park, horseback riding at Bunker Park Stables, biking, hiking, golf, camping, archery, picnicking, and cross-country skiing.

Park Map - Summer Season  (111kb file) - Shows the entire park with all roadways, hiking/biking trails, natural surface hiking only paths, Bunker Beach Aquatic Park, golf course, stables, parking lots, and many other amenities.
Bunker Hills Campground - The campground offers both a rustic and RV (water and electric hookups) camping loop, shower / restroom building, water spigots, group camping area, trails, pay telephone, campground reservation building, RV dump station, and many other amenities.  Click here to jump to the camping web page.

Picnic Pavilions

Pavilion #1

Description: On the shore of Bunker Lake with ample parking and a restroom building nearby.

Pavilion #3
Capacity (seated): 256
Electricity: Yes
Description: The largest pavilion in the park and nearest the Veterans Memorial.  Also very close to the playground and a restroom building.

Picnic Pavilion Rental Fees
The Anoka County Parks and Recreation Department offers over 30 pavilions throughout the county that can be exclusively reserved.  In order to reserve a pavilion, please contact the parks and recreation office by calling 763-757-3920.

Reservations must be paid in full at the time of the reservation.  Fees for picnic pavilions are as follows:

The Bunker Hills Regional Park Activities Center Building, the Anoka County Park System headquarters, has five meeting rooms of varying capacity and capability available for your rental.  The following table provides general information about each meeting room.  Feel free to contact the Activities Center Building at 763-757-3920 with any questions.
Oak Room
Capacity: 150

Maple Room
Capacity: 120
Electricity: Yes

Cedar Room
Capacity: 30 (seated), 40 (including gallery)
Electricity: Yes

Aspen Room
Capacity: 30 (seated), 40 (including gallery)
Electricity: Yes

Bunker Hills Campground
Visitor Center Building

The Bunker Hills Campground Visitor Center building has a meeting room that accommodates up to 40 people seated at 10 four-foot square tables.  A gas fireplace adds to your groups pleasant experience.  Call 763-757-3920 for meeting room reservation information.  Plus, feel free to visit the camping web page to learn of the facilities nearby the campground visitor building.

Directions

From Minneapolis: Interstate 35W north to Highway 10 west; follow five miles to Highway 65 north; follow eight miles to CSAH 14 and turn left (go west); follow three miles to Foley Boulevard and turn right (go north) into the park.  Follow the directional signs at each intersection.
From St. Paul: Interstate 35E north to Interstate 694 west; follow five miles to Interstate 35W north; follow four miles to Highway 10 west; follow five miles to Highway 65 north; follow 10 miles to CSAH 14 and turn left (go west); follow four miles to Foley Boulevard and turn right (go north) into the park.  Follow the directional signs at each intersection.
From Andover: Take Bunker Lake Boulevard to the park entrance located two miles east of Hanson Boulevard on Bunker Lake Boulevard.  Following the directional signs at each intersection in the park.
From Anoka, Ramsey: Take CSAH 14 (Main Street) east to the park entrance at the intersection of CSAH 14 and Foley Boulevard (approximately two miles after you cross Hanson Boulevard).  Turn left (go north) into the park.  Follow the directional signs at each intersection.
From Lino Lakes: Take CSAH 14 (Main Street) west to the park entrance at the intersection of CSAH 14 and Foley Boulevard (approximately three miles after you cross Highway 65).  Turn right (go north) into the park.  Follow the directional signs at each intersection.
From Blaine, Fridley, Columbia Heights, Spring Lake Park: Take Highway 65 (Central Avenue) north to CSAH 14 (Main Street) and turn left.  Take CSAH 14 (Main Street) west three miles to the park entrance at the intersection of CSAH 14 and Foley Boulevard.  Turn right (go north) into the park.  Follow the directional signs at each intersection.
From Ham Lake: Take Highway 65 (Central Avenue) south to CSAH 14 (Main Street) and turn right.  Take CSAH 14 (Main Street) west three miles to the park entrance at the intersection of CSAH 14 and Foley Boulevard.  Turn right (go north) into the park.  Follow the directional signs at each intersection.
