Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park is located in the City of Coon
Rapids along the Mississippi River. The park entrance is accessed from the
intersection of Coon Rapids Boulevard and Egret Boulevard - then taking Egret
Boulevard south through a small neighborhood to the visitor contact
station. The Summer Concert Series is a big attraction.

Programs to Order at Coon Rapids Dam
Here’s an opportunity for you to get a custom made program.
The event could be an
individual experience or group program on nature, recreation, history of the
area or you
name it! There will be a per person or group fee. Date and time will
have to be agreed upon. Please call 763-757-4700 to design your program.
Summer Concert Series

Park Performance Pavilion!
These concerts are a part of the summer concert series sponsored by the
Coon Rapids Arts Commission and the Anoka County Parks and Recreation
Department.
Parking and admission to the events is FREE!

General Information
All motorized vehicles are required to purchase a vehicle
entry permit to the regional parks. Annual permits are available for $25,
good for one year from date of purchase. Daily permits are available for
$5 per day. The annual permit is honored at all Anoka County Regional
Parks as well as regional parks in Washington and Carver counties.
The 446 acre Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park is one of the most
popular in Anoka County. Much of the use occurs in the summer, but there
is a considerable amount of year-round use especially during the cross-country
skiing season. Picnicking, fishing, walking and bicycling are favorite
activities in the park. The boat launch is heavily used during the
summer. The visitor center is open year-round where you can obtain
information about the trails and scenic places in the park. There is a
renewed emphasis placed on nature and recreation programming.
Bicycle
Rental
Bicycle rental is available during visitor center operating hours. A
picture ID and deposit are required for all rentals. Helmets and locks are
provided free of charge:
- Tandem Bike - $8 per hour
- Adult Bike - $6 per hour
- Youth Bike - $5 per hour
- Child Trailer - $4 per hour

Picnic Pavilion Rental Fees
The Anoka County Parks and Recreation Department offers over
30 pavilions throughout the county that can be exclusively reserved. In
order to reserve a pavilion, please contact the parks and recreation office by
calling 763-757-3920.
Reservations must be paid in full at the
time of the reservation. Fees for picnic pavilions are as follows:

| From Anoka, Ramsey: Take Highway 10
east to Hanson Boulevard south. Turn right onto Hanson Boulevard and
follow about 1 ½ miles to Coon Rapids Boulevard east. Turn left onto Coon
Rapids Boulevard and follow to Egret Boulevard south. Turn right onto
Egret Boulevard and follow one mile south to the park entrance. |
| From Fridley, Columbia Heights, Spring
Lake Park: Take Highway 65 north to County Highway 10 west. Follow
County Highway 10 west and continue west on Coon Rapids Boulevard (County
Highway 10 automatically turns into Coon Rapids Boulevard when traveling
straight west). Follow Coon Rapids Boulevard about one mile to Egret
Boulevard south. Turn left onto Egret Boulevard and follow one mile to the
park entrance. |
