Anoka County Parks

The Anoka County Park System contains excellent lake, creek, and river canoeing resources for your use.

Canoes and kayaks can be rented at the Wargo Nature Center for use within Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Park Reserve (sorry, they cannot be taken out of the park). Click here for more information.

Canoe Launches can be found in the following parks:

Coon Lake County Park - on Coon Lake (no outlet)
Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park - on the Mississippi River
Riverfront Regional Park - on the Mississippi River
Kordiak County Park - on Highland Lake (no outlet)
Lake George Regional Park - on Lake George (no outlet)
Locke County Park - on Rice Creek (outlets to the Mississippi River)
Manomin County Park - on Rice Creek and the Mississippi River
Martin-Island-Linwood Lakes Regional Park - on all three of the lakes
Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Regional Park Reserve - on Peltier, George Watch, Marshan, Rice, Baldwin (outlets to Rice Creek), and Centerville lakes
Rum River Central Regional Park - on the Rum River
Rum River North County Park - on the Rum River
Rum River South County Park - on the Rum River
