Coon Creek Restoration Project - Completed

The Coon Creek Restoration Project in Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park lead by the Coon Creek Watershed District is complete. The project is now in the final restoration stage.

Mississippi River Trail re-route - Completed

The construction of Mississippi River Regional Trail (MRT) reroute in the southern portion of Coon Rapids Dam Regional Parks is complete. The project is now in the restoration stage. Due to ongoing erosion along the Mississippi, the MRT was re-aligned farther away from the river’s edge.

Bridge, Culvert, and Trail Construction - Completed

The reconstruction of the MRT bridge at the confluence of Coon Creek and the Mississippi, the culvert over Coon Creek, and surrounding trails is complete. The project is now in the restoration stage.
